From the Bay Area, take Interstate 80 east toward Sacramento. In Sacramento, follow the Business 80 loop toward South Lake Tahoe and Highway 50. On Hwy. 50, drive east and take the Watt Avenue South off-ramp (about 5 miles east of the Hwy 99-Hwy 50 interchange). Take Watt Avenue south for 1.5 miles, turn east on Jackson Road (State Highway 16) and travel 30 miles east to Amador.

From the Stockton area, take Highway 88 east to Highway 49 and Highway 49 north to Plymouth.
